U2's Intimate BBC London Concert Is Tomorrow: Here's When You Can Watch

U2 are preparing for a rather different kind of London show. On Tuesday 3 November 2026, the Irish rock band will record an exclusive performance for BBC Music at an indoor venue in central London, playing to a relatively small audience rather than a stadium-sized crowd.

The performance is set to mix familiar songs with new material from the group's forthcoming album, Carnaval de Luz. For fans who missed the chance to attend, the good news is that the concert has been arranged for television and radio broadcast later in the month.

Where is U2 playing in London?

The exact location has not been publicly announced. Organisers said the venue would be revealed to ticket holders on the day of the show. That secrecy is part of the appeal, but it also means fans should be wary of unofficial claims about the address.

A limited allocation of places was offered through a BBC Audiences ballot. The published closing date was midnight on Thursday 29 October, so this is not an open ticket sale on the eve of the concert. Anyone without a confirmed place should plan to enjoy the broadcast rather than turn up at an unverified location.

When can fans watch or listen?

The BBC plans to show the concert on BBC Two in late November as part of a dedicated evening of U2 programming. An exact BBC Two transmission date was not specified in the announcement checked for this article.

A Radio 2 and BBC Sounds broadcast is scheduled for Monday 30 November, between 7pm and 9pm, during Jo Whiley's programme. It will also include a new interview with members of the band. Catch-up viewing and listening are expected on BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds after the broadcasts.

What about the new U2 album?

The show arrives shortly before the planned Friday 13 November release of Carnaval de Luz. That gives the intimate concert an added purpose: it is a chance to introduce songs that listeners may not yet know alongside the catalogue that made the band famous.

There is more BBC content on the way too. The band are due to choose ten influential songs for Vernon Kay's Tracks of My Years, with the episode available on BBC Sounds and BBC iPlayer from Sunday 15 November and additional broadcasts later in the month.

The date to remember

If you are not among the invited audience, circle 30 November for the confirmed radio slot and keep an eye on the BBC Two schedule for the televised performance. The recording takes place on 3 November; the public broadcasts come later.
